Welcome to AM-Architecture BLOG, a blog created by Akram Maiza an architecture student from Algeria. This platform aims to share the knowledge gathered from various books and resources, serving as a means to encourage others to embark on their own research journeys. The primary goal is to save and organize valuable information in an accessible online format.

The creation of this blog is driven by two important factors. First and foremost, as a student of architecture, I have a deep-rooted passion for the subject. The intricacies of architecture and its profound impact on our lives have captivated me, motivating me to delve into its rich history and share my findings with others.

Equally significant is the inspiration I have drawn from an exceptional professor at the University of Farhat Abbas, Setif , Algeria. Sir Hichem Malki. Specifically teaching the module of History of Architecture 5, his dedication, energy, and unwavering commitment to motivating his students have left an indelible mark on me. His teaching style encouraged me to continuously explore and expand my knowledge, fostering a desire to present information in innovative and engaging ways.

This blog, therefore, serves as a tribute to the enthusiasm and dedication of Professor Hichem Malki. It aims to carry forward his legacy by sharing architectural information in an intriguing and accessible manner. Through this platform, I hope to inspire others to embark on their own intellectual journeys, discover the wonders of architecture, and contribute to the ever-growing body of knowledge.

In addition, this blog has another important goal: to encourage architecture students to become familiar with academic English and appreciate it as a main language for learning. It aims to shift the focus from primarily using French in Algerian educational institutions and instead promote proficiency in English within the field of architecture. To support this objective, the blog will include a dedicated section that presents different architectural terms with their definitions in English as well as an Arabic translation to facilitate the understanding of the terms. By engaging with this language aspect, students can expand their vocabulary and develop a deeper understanding of how English contributes to architectural education.

So, join me as we explore the world of architecture, uncover its historical marvels, and pay homage to the remarkable individuals who have shaped the field.
